Internship Program

For students interested in leveraging the private sector model to drive social and environmental change

Interns complete a 14-week work experience at a high-potential, impact-focused enterprise in the Good & Well portfolio. Over the same period, they pursue a robust curriculum focused on personal and professional development and have opportunities to connect with like-minded peers. Interns come from a range of academic disciplines and take on a variety of internship roles – from impact investing to software development to fashion design.

Meet Internship Alumni

Helena Teng

Intern at Good & Well, 2024

“ The G&W internship program stands out for its emphasis on leadership & resilience and lifelong community in addition to professional development. Learning alongside a diverse cohort of academic backgrounds, geographies, and age enables enriched discussions and valuable perspectives. The program also has a valuable network of professionals, mentors, and alumni across industries and backgrounds who are always open to connecting and offering guidance and opportunities beyond the internship itself. What truly sets the program apart is the focus on leadership & resilience. I’ve gained many practical skills and knowledge that I plan to carry with me into my personal and professional life."

Rohan Noronha

Intern at Mama Earth (previously Fresh City Farms), 2020

" Participating in the program changed my view on social enterprise and [the] social entrepreneurship ecosystem. The previous narrative, I had picked up through formal education was that these kinds of impact-forward business models were niche and supported largely by concessionary capital. However, after interacting with the G&W Portfolio companies through lunch & learns, I learned that social enterprises also come in different shapes and sizes and have the enormous potential to be scalable."

NEXT STEP: Investment Analyst at Boann Social Impact (wholesaler of the Canadian Government’s Social Finance Fund)

Catherine Goncalves

Intern at Lucky Iron Life, 2019

The Good & Well Internship Program was by far one the best things that happened to my professional career. Not only did it affirm my decision to work in the social enterprise space, but it exposed me to different areas of business impact and allowed me to learn far more than any textbook could teach.[…] I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to get to know so many individuals who share my interest in business sustainability and have been exposed to so many leaders in their industries. I would absolutely recommend the Good & Well Internship Program to anyone interested in getting a hands-on internship experience, while also having the chance to learn from the incredible events, speakers, lunch and learns and workshops made available.
